Scrumbot.com was founded by a washed-up old scrumhalf (UNC-Greensboro, Raleigh Vipers, NYAC and Bay Area RFC) who was frustrated that he couldn't buy shirts or hats from his former teams when he visited their Web sites. After talking with several rugby clubs, we came to the conclusion that clubs wanted a partner that would build stores and allow their players and fans to buy a wide variety of high quality, reasonably priced, printed and embroidered items one-at-a-time, whenever they wanted to.
Our deal is simple: We build clubs' online stores, which they link to their home page. We work with clubs to design their custom apparel. All we need is your logo and what you want on the apparel.
There is no cost to the clubs, and we mail participating clubs 20% of all sales every quarter along with verified sales reports. Clubs make 20% on all of their branded apparel even when someone from another state or country buys it. This is essentially a licensing deal, but instead of the 5-7% that NFL and MLB teams earn in royalties, we pay 20%. Rugby is better than other sports, so clubs deserve more money (and most need it)!
BULK ITEMS FOR FUNDRAISING - We offer special pricing on bulk items, so if you want a special t-shirt for an upcoming tournament or to commemorate a championship, you can order 25, 50, 100 or 1,000 to sell as a fundraiser.
Actually, the designs don't even have to be rugby related - some people use our custom design feature to create and order one or more items for events such as weddings, bachelor parties, divorces and other noteworthy events.
